Because they deserve love, not just care.

My name is Kelsea & I’m the founder of Love, Silvy. I’m a wedding photographer based in lutruwita/Tasmania & a lifelong animal lover. Animals have always been family to me, & when I met my husband Tim (whose mum is a vet nurse!), it was something we instantly shared.

In 2012 we were invited to housesit & that’s when we met Silvy & Tripp. Over three months we fell completely in love with them — and when their owners returned home, they made the beautiful decision to let the cats stay with us. Not long after, Tim & I were married, travelling often & always trusting the most precious parts of our world to the people caring for our babies.

Along the way we adopted Ylva & Ava from the RSPCA, and in 2020 we moved to Tasmania. Without our wide support network nearby, we truly understood how hard it is to find someone you trust — not just in your home, but with the lives of your littlest loves.

We said goodbye to Silvy & Tripp within three months of each other across 2024-2025, and while they were both so incredibly special to us, everyone who met Silvy said the same thing… there was just something about her.

They both came into our lives as adult cats & stayed nearly 13 years. Tripp was a quiet, shy boy who loved nothing more than curling up under a blanket on our laps. Sweet Silvy was gentle, affectionate & endlessly loving. She was the kind of cat who slept on our pillows, chased the warmth of the sun & adored absolutely everyone — including kids.

Through our heartbreak, this idea was born — a way to honour her memory & the love she gave so freely. Love, Silvy is exactly that. A love letter she wrote in our hearts & signed herself.
